Rehab Services
Northwoods Stable is proud to announce the opening of our private rehabilitation and lay-up service.
Our goal is to provide a healing environment for the injured equine and offer weight management services.
Programs will vary with each equine individual and veterinary practitioner. We will gladly consider complementary, traditional and alternative treatment programs with approval of the treating practitioner or clinician.
Each equine entering our care is provided with the following services:
- Daily administration of medications and supplements as directed by veterinarian.
- Bandaging including sweats, poultices and wraps.
- Assisting veterinarians and farrier as required.
- General care including -
- monitoring temperatures and appetites,
- grooming,
- bathing,
- picking feet,
- checking legs, etc.
Please note, we do not have a veterinarian on staff at present, but we will work with your personal practitioner or clinician.
