Sugar's Story

Sugar was kicked in the chest by another horse resulting in an open gash that could not be stitched back together.

On the right is shown the injury after it was cleaned and dressed with a solution to help it heal.

Sugar was kept in a separate grazing lot for over 2 months while her wound was allowed to heal. During that time, it was cleaned and dressed daily.

Six weeks after the accident, the injury is healing and closing.
